Additional Information:

St. Mary's Catholic/Fort Vermilion Public School is hiring a part-time School Nutrition Program coordinator for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year.  

The School Nutrition Program Coordinator is responsible to manage the School Nutrition Program as directed by school administration.  This position will start as soon as possible upon hire.

Duties will include:

  • Menu planning
  • Order and inventory food and supplies within the budget and guidelines of the program
  • Prepare and serve daily lunch or snacks
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized according to Alberta Health Regulations
  • Work with students in the CTS Foods program
  • other duties as assigned by school administration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Food/Nutrition/Sanitization courses an asset but training will be provided
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Experience working with students in a school setting
  • An ability to work collaboratively with school staff and parents in a confidential manner
  • Evidence of successfully passing the Police-Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
  • Evidence of successfully passing the Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check (IRC) (applicable only if you have/had children).

Salary & Benefits:

  • $20.54 to $30.14 per hour, depending upon qualifications and experience.
  • Benefits will be provided after the mandatory 3-month probationary period is successfully completed.

Hours:  20 hours per week
